Order Information
It is advisable to contact us at orders@karlinkards.co.uk to check for availability before placing a wedding stationery order.
Orders should be placed at least 7 months before your wedding, 8 - 10 months for a summer wedding. When orders are placed we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. The balance is requested two weeks before the dispatch of your final order items.

As our stationery is handmade and therefore materials can vary, we would advise you to order all of the required items at the same time to avoid differences in shading or quality of material.

We would also advise you to order slightly more stationery than required to account for extra guests or writing errors.
Day and evening invitations are usually ordered one per couple or family.
Order of Service are usually presented individually or one per couple, the bridal party should also be included in the calculation.
Menus are usually presented one per table or two if there are more than 8 guests per table, the top table should also be included in the calculation.

You can place an order in one of two ways
  • Completing our Order Form

    When you have decided on design and colour you can print and complete our Order Form then send this with the required deposit to the address on our order form. Cheques should be made payable to KarlinKards.

    Please use our Fonts and Wording pages to select what is required for your stationery or provide us with your own if preferred.

  • Personal visit by us

    If you would prefer to discuss your requirements we would be delighted to meet with you if you live within 20 miles of our design studio.

Once we receive your deposit we will begin work on your wedding stationery order by sending you a set of proofs of wording and layout for approval and signature. On receipt of the signed proofs, work will then begin on your order.
If you require your stationery within 6 weeks of ordering, full payment will be required at time of ordering. In these cases, due to our tight schedules, it would be advisable to contact us to see if we are available.


If you live within a 15 mile radius of our design studio we can arrange to personally deliver your order to you. For all other orders we use Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery which will require a signature on delivery. The charges for this service are calculated per parcel and by weight as follows
  • Parcels weighing up to 1kg - 6.70
  • 1kg to 2kg - 8.65
  • 2kg to 10kg - 21.65
Your order will be dispatched in multiple parts
  • Invitations and RSVP cards
  • On the day stationery including any wedding favours ordered

A charge of 20 is added to the order form at time of ordering to cover the delivery of the first shipment of your order. You will be advised of the delivery charge for the remainder of your order when the balance of your order is requested. We will only pass on to you the cost of postage to us and therefore if the delivery cost for the first parcel is less than 20 we will use the remainder to calculate the amount required for the second delivery.
